Autumn CME Frequently Asked Questions 

  1. Do I need to sign in every day during the conference to prove attendance? Yeswe have tracking/certification tools users have to complete in order to prove attendance. Logging into the program to view the sessions serves as signing in; no extra sign-in steps are required. However, you will be required to evaluate speakers/sessions and attest your attendance in order to claim CME just like an “in-person convention.  

  1. How do I access the program Evaluation and Certificate? There is a section within each session to complete your evaluation. You will need to evaluate each session individually. You can do this at the end of each session or at the end of the program. Once all of the evaluations are complete, you will be able to access and print your certificate. Please make sure to complete all evaluations. If you do not, your certificate will be incomplete. Also please note that the evaluations will turn from red to green once they are completed correctly. 

  1. Do I have to be present on the day(s) of the conference or is it pre-recorded so I can watch anytime? If you are unable to participate during the weekend conference and are already registered for the event, you will have up to 30 days to watch the presentations and claim CME credit In addition to the livestream event, you will have access to the lectures on an on-demand basis for 30 days after the event. Questions may be submitted to the speakers when viewing the lectures on-demand and evaluations will need to be completed after viewing to earn CME creditsTime tracking will detect user's engagement from start to finish. 

  1. How do I access the Virtual Convention Platform? First, register for the program on this pageYou will be emailed instructions on accessing lectures in advance of the online event. Please check your spam/ junk folder. Or click the "Leaning Center Classroom" link at the top of this page. The event is being conducted through the MOA Online Learning Center, the same system that was used for the virtual Spring CME event. MOA staff will be able to assist you with accessing both the live webcast and on demand playback content options. 

  1. How do I view the sessions? You will need to launch the viewer for each session in the program classroom.  

  1. I launched a viewer, but the session isn’t playing. Am I in the right place? Make sure you select the right session for the time. Times are listed accordingly. If you are early to a session, please be patient and wait for the session to begin.  

  1. Will I still be able to ask questions? Yes. Speakers will be available to answer questions from attendees on the online platform via chat, similar to an “in-person” experience.  

  1. How will you know when Autumn program is preloaded into the Learning Center? I do not see it in my profile. You will be emailed access information once the program is in your profile at least one week before the event. If you do not receive an email or see the program in your profile by October 31, please contact us. 

  1. Will the outcomes measurement survey be sent out following the program? No Outcomes survey offered per AOA change in requirements. 

  1. Why won’t it let me claim my certificate? Or why is my certificate incorrect? You must view the sessions and complete the evaluations to claim your certificate. If you do not watch every session or complete each evaluation, your certificate will be incomplete. Please note that the evaluations will turn from red to green once they are completed correctly.

These competitions provide osteopathic medical students, residents, fellows and attending level physicians an opportunity to present their medical and scientific research to our profession. Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds must be in writing by mail or email by October 23, 2020 and will entitle registrant to a full refund less a $50 processing fee.

Statement of Accreditation

AOA Credit - The Michigan Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The MOA designates this program for 17 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

AMA Credit - Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. MSUCOM designates this live activity for a maximum of 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: The AOA is approved by the Board of Nursing as an acceptable provider of continuing education for license renewal.
